Money Can’t Buy Taste
They say money can’t buy taste, and this list proves it. From higher-end luxury cars to some of the most expensive cars in the world, here are 20 vehicles that really should look much better for their obscene price points.
1. Infiniti QX56
Infiniti is best known as Nissan’s luxury vehicle division. With an emphasis on sedans and SUVs, the QX56 stands out for all the wrong reasons. It’s got a bloated SUV look with an oversized grille that just seems odd.
2. Bentley SUV
Bentley has been known as an ultra-luxury British brand that occasionally pumps out massive SUVs. However, this attempt ended up falling flat due to the overtly bulky design and imposing front grille. The car just looks way too aggressive for what it is.
3. Range Rover Evoque Convertible
Range Rover is another British luxury SUV brand, but they place a bigger emphasis on off-road capabilities. With that in mind, the Evoque had everything going for it, but the convertible variant does not. It looks completely awkward, as if the top half is missing.
4. Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio
Ferrari is a well-known Italian brand that makes high-performing sports cars. The Pininfarina has that futuristic look going for it, but it simply lacks the elegance of other Ferrari products. One can’t help but feel as if it’s unfinished.
5. Koenigsegg Agera R
If you’re not familiar with Koenigsegg, it’s a Swedish manufacturer that has broken a few records with their cars. However, the Agera R suffers from being ultra-low with a very busy design. It looks like it belongs on a track and is far too complicated and overstimulating for the road.
6. BMW iX
BMW is a famous German automaker that balances luxury with performance. The iX isn’t their best work, though. With an oversized grille and awkward proportions, it’s the model most people prefer to avoid.
7. Mercedes Maybach S-Class
Mercedes-Benz has put out multiple luxurious and stunning cars, and Maybach is a sub-brand that goes head-to-head with brands like Rolls-Royce. However, the design just looks gaudy rather than elegant, which is what separates the appeal of the Royce from the imposter syndrome of the Maybach.
8. Tesla Cybertruck
Tesla was once known as an electric vehicle manufacturer that put technology first. That is, until they got political. It comes as no surprise that their Cybertruck looks more like a prop from a low-budget science fiction movie rather than an actual functional vehicle. Speaking of functionality: it’s questionable at best.
9. Toyota Alphard
Toyota has put out some of the most reliable cars in the world, but the Alphard fell hard for other reasons. They took a boxy minivan and decided to make it even boxier. It’s obnoxiously large, and the grille comes across looking like a wide-open mouth.
10. Pagani Huayra
Pagani is another Italian boutique that specializes in luxury cars with a bit of that eccentric flair. However, the Huayra takes things a bit too far with its complicated design and exposed mechanics. It’s just a bit too busy.
11. Bugatti Veyron
Bugatti is a French manufacturer whose cars have been featured in countless music videos and promotional materials. However, the wide-bodied look and bulbous front just don’t do the Veyron any favors. The vehicle mostly comes across looking like the proportions are all wrong.
12. Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Jeep is an all-American company that prioritizes off-roading capabilities. The Wagoneer, however, faced criticism for its old-school blend and blocky shape. The oversized chrome accents don’t do it any favors either.
13. Bentley Bentayga
Bentley makes another appearance on this list with their Bentayga. This tall and heavy SUV also looks awkward with its massive grille and just lacks the polish and elegance of the brand’s other offerings.
14. Marcos Mantis
Marcos is a smaller British manufacturer that makes sports cars best known for their quirky appeal. However, the Mantis stands out for all the wrong reasons due to its low-slung look and angular headlights.

15. Porsche Panamera (2010)
Porsche is a famous German brand best known for its luxurious sports cars. However, the 2010 Panamera fails due to its inability to blend the sports car look with the practicality of a sedan. In return, all you get is an awkward-looking, clunky car.
16. Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Rolls-Royce is another British manufacturer that makes luxury cars. They usually lean into that massive and boxy SUV look, but the Cullinan simply doesn’t suit the formula. It’s far too imposing and looks a few pieces shy of being an armored car.
17. Aston Martin Lagonda
Aston Martin has put out numerous luxury cars, but the Lagonda is a futuristic sedan attempt that’s ruined by its boxy shape and awkward edges. It looks almost like a poor attempt at a spaceship and just doesn’t fit in with the rest of Aston Martin’s lineup.
18. BMW XM
The XM was supposed to be a large and in-charge, high-performing SUV. But instead, it’s muddled by its exaggerated proportions, and the massive grille just lends itself to feeling way too aggressive.
19. Cadillac Celestiq
Cadillac is an American brand that puts out luxury cars, but the Celestiq just doesn’t fit the formula. It’s an electric sedan with style in mind, but the proportions just feel way too stretched.
20. Zenvo TS1 GT
The TS1 GT was created by a Danish manufacturer who was aiming for that aggressive look. However, the car looks a bit jagged and overstyled. The sharp lines are supposed to make it aerodynamic, but it looks like something out of a video game rather than an actual car.
